GET INVOLVED WITH GEORGE PAKENHAM IN HIS FIGHT TO STOP ENGINE IDLING!
Needless engine idling has been illegal in New York City since 1971. But the law is thinly enforced. The documentary film IDLE THREAT tells of a Wall Street banker’s one-man battle to enforce the law himself in order to promote a healthier/cleaner city.
The NATIONAL WILDLIFE FEDERATION (NWF) has purchased, in bulk, the companion children’s book BIG NOSE BIG CITY,which looks at the idling problem from a child’s perspective. NFW has sponsored a power point presentation program at PS 31 in Brooklyn further explores this problem which is prevalent in NYC.
